Why I write

When I started writing, it felt like I woke up for the first time.

Ever since I was 16, I’ve written nearly everyday. The medium has been ever-changing — from pocket notebooks, to leather-bound journals, to Google Docs, to Obsidian. Nowadays, and for the past 3 years, it’s been split between physical journals for personal and deep writing, and Obsidian for everything else.

The reason I write is simple: my thoughts, without writing, are often scattered and chaotic. Sometimes, when I go too many days or weeks without any serious writing, it feels like I lose my inner voice.

I write so I can be myself.
